We're a family-run property in the green hills of Peradeniya, five minutes from the Royal Botanical Gardens and fifteen from the heart of Kandy. We host a small number of events each year, which means yours gets our full attention. The garden café has hosted dinners that ran until midnight. The gardens have held a wedding — our own, as it happens, the first one here. We know what this place feels like when it's holding something that matters.

The Garden Café

The heart of the property on any good day — and the natural centre of any event. Open-air, overlooking the pool and gardens, with views to the hills beyond. Long tables, handbuilt chairs, the kind of light that changes through the evening in ways no interior can replicate. This is where dinners happen, where cocktail hours drift, where people sit down for a drink and don't move for three hours.

The Gardens

Mature trees, layered plantings, lawn areas, winding paths — the kind of depth that takes years to grow. A natural backdrop for ceremonies, photographs, and gatherings that need space to breathe.

The Pool Terrace

Open terrace around the pool. Works beautifully for drinks receptions, sunset ceremonies, and evening gatherings.

The Garden Suites

Six individually designed suites in the main house — for the wedding party, the guest of honour, key family, or whoever you want on-site for the full duration.

The Garden Villa

A standalone three-bedroom villa with its own living room, kitchenette, and entrance. For the couple, a family group, or a leadership team that needs its own space.

The Creative Studio

Available for prep, floristry, styling, workshops, or whatever your event requires.

The first wedding at Hebron Gardens was our own — in these same gardens, under these same trees. We built the furniture you'll sit on, planted some of what you'll walk past, and we've watched this property hold something meaningful. That's not something we take lightly.

We host a small number of weddings each year. Not because we can't do more, but because we'd rather do fewer things properly. Your wedding gets our full attention, honest advice, and a venue that has real character — not the kind that gets rented out every weekend.

We're not a conference centre. There's no projector screen bolted to a beige wall, no breakout rooms that smell of carpet cleaner, no fluorescent lighting. What we have is a private walled property with mature gardens, fast fibre internet throughout, an open-air café workspace, a creative studio designed for focused work, and the kind of quiet that makes it genuinely possible to think.

Sri Lanka's hill country — with Kandy at its centre — is one of the most underused corporate retreat destinations in Asia. The access is easy, the value is exceptional, and the effect on a team of arriving somewhere genuinely different and genuinely beautiful is something a hotel meeting room simply cannot produce.
