Built Slowly, Shared Openly

The story of a family home

Three people with hands together in prayer pose, in front of a colorful abstract painting.
People in a modern kitchen with a large island and decorative light fixture.

Our Story

This started as a family home. Still is, really.

We didn't set out to create a guesthouse. We set out to create a place we'd want to live — surrounded by green, filled with things we made ourselves, designed for creativity and quiet. Room by room, piece by piece, over years.

The chairs took weeks. The tables took months. The bed frames evolved as we learned what worked. Nothing came from a catalogue. Some pieces turned out exactly as planned. Others surprised us. All of them carry the marks of being made here, by hand, with intention.

At some point, friends visiting would say the same thing: "We don't want to leave." So we started sharing it. Three guest suites in the main house. Then Dolce Garden Villa in the gardens. Still a family home — just one with guests now.

Our Philosophy

Creative by Nature

We believe spaces should have personality. Cookie-cutter hotels serve a purpose, but they're not what we wanted to create. Every corner here tells a story. Every piece of furniture started as an idea, then raw materials, then something real.

Made, Not Bought

Most of what you'll see, we made. Not because we're trying to prove something, but because making things matters to us. There's a difference between a chair built in a factory and one shaped by hands that cared about the grain of the wood, the angle of the backrest, the way it would feel to sit in it for hours.

Peace Without Pretense

We're tucked into the hills where the air stays cool and birds start the mornings. The Botanical Gardens are five minutes away. Kandy is fifteen. But you'll probably stay here more than you plan to. The garden café has that effect.

Authenticity Over Perfection

This is a real home. Things evolve. Plants grow. We're always building something new in the studio. If you're looking for corporate polish, there are hotels for that. If you're looking for a place that feels lived-in and loved, you're in the right place.

The Family

We live here. Not in the guest suites, but in the other half of the house. You'll see us around — tending the gardens, working in the studio, making sure the coffee's ready in the morning. We're here if you need anything. We're also good at giving you space when you don't.

This isn't anonymous hospitality. We know your name. We'll remember if you mentioned you wanted to hike Hanthana. We'll point out when the mangoes are ripe.

The Property

The Main House

Built over years. Six suites in total — three for guests, each designed differently. Shared spaces include the gardens, pool, garden café, and creative studio.

Dolce Garden Villa

Standalone villa with three bedrooms, living room, kitchenette. Its own entrance, its own vibe. Access to all shared spaces.

The Gardens

Old trees we inherited. New plantings we've added. Corners for reading. Paths that wind. A pool that catches mountain reflections. The garden café where everyone ends up.

The Creative Studio

A space for making. We use it. Guests can too. Bring your projects, your sketchbooks, your need to create something.

Why Hebron Gardens

Because you want to stay somewhere real. Because you appreciate things made by hand. Because quiet matters. Because you'd rather spend your morning at a café with a mountain view than in a hotel lobby.

Because you're the kind of person who notices grain in wood, light changing through the day, the way a chair was built to actually sit in.

Come as you are. Leave when you're ready.
